Curriculum Areas

• Science – Hands on exploration of why and how things happen, animal life cycles and habitats, and parts of our body.
• Math Awareness – Fundamental number concepts, as well as concepts dealing with self, space and time are explored.
• Reading Readiness Skills – Letter recognition is taught through a phonetic approach incorporating games and fun stories.
• Safety/Health – We strive to make children “safety aware” by teaching important aspects of living a safe and healthy life.
• Music/Art – Music appreciation is introduced with group singing, dancing and exercising and using rhythm band instruments. Creativity flourishes through the many different art mediums we use. All projects are proudly carried home to be displayed.
• Units – The world at large is introduced and explored through skits, stories, puppets and hands-on experiments.
• Computer Skills – Children are encouraged to explore the computer and develop hands-on skills.

Curriculum Objectives

• Provide affection and support to alleviate children’s fears.
• Support independent play, helping when needed, but allowing them to do what they are capable of doing and what they want to do for themselves.
• Provide opportunities for developing and demonstrating self-help skills.
• Provide opportunity to play in small groups.
• Encourage sharing and taking turns.
• Provide plenty of space and time indoors and outdoors for children to develop gross motor skills.
• Provide age appropriate learning experiences.
• Encourage and develop life skills.

Three-year-old preschool is on Tuesday and Thursday, with morning and afternoon sessions.

Four-year-old preschool is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with morning and afternoon sessions.

Enrichment classes for four-year-olds are held Monday through Friday, with both morning and afternoon sessions.

Morning Half-Day Programs are held from 8:30am-11:15am.

Afternoon Half-Day Programs are held from 12:30pm-3:00pm.
